This sweet vintage flight jacket is an MA-1 bomber. This type of jacket is used by the military and was originally developed for the Air Force in the 1950s. The jacket is reversible with the outside being a maroon nylon. It has a front zipper closure with two flapped hand pockets and an additional zippered pocket on the sleeve. The MA-1 bomber was developed to be comfortable while still warm enough to counter the cold conditions experienced in flight.
