This Chicago White Sox jersey from the 90s is a recreation of the infamous jerseys worn at the time of the Black Sox Scandal at the 1919 World Series.
The scandal involved players on the Chicago baseball team intentionally throwing the game against the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for money from gambler, Arnold Rothstein, who would win big from betting on the Reds. Chick Gandil is cited as the mastermind behind the scandal.
In response to the event, Judge Landis was appointed as the first Commissioner of Baseball to restore the integrity of the sport. He banned the eight players involved from baseball for life; Chick Gandil, Eddie Cicotte, Oscar Felsch, Joe Jackson, Fred McMullin, Charles Risberg, George Weaver, and Claude Williams. Inclusion in the hall of fame was also banned for these players.
Tag says medium but this shirt fits like a modern unisex adult extra large.
