This rad t-shirt was made for race management at a motor sports event. It was most likely made for the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach in California. This racing event is the longest running street race in the US, dating back to 1975. The race was originally a Formula One event until it became the premier race on the CART Series during the 1990s, then eventually became a part of the IndyCar Series.
The Toyota Grand Prix races during the 1990s were very successful for American drivers. Racing legend Al Unser Jr. won four races, bringing his total wins up to six which broke the course record. American drivers Danny Sullivan and Jimmy Vasser each also won the Prix in 1992 and 1996 respectively.
