This sweet white vintage t-shirt commemorates a performance by rock musician and multidisciplinary artist Judy Nylon at the Hot Club on South Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Judy Nylon was widely known for her significant influence in the glam, punk and no wave scenes in New York City and in Philadelphia. However, most of her influence was never recorded on vinyl. Judy Nylon was part of a two person punk rock group named Snatch alongside Patti Palladin. Judy was also referenced as the orderly, ergonomic Judy featured in Brian Eno's song "Back in Judy's Jungle" which appeared on the album Taking Tiger Mountain.

Nylon was also a frequent collaborator with Welsh musician John Cale. She sang "The Man Who Couldn't Afford to Orgy" on his 1974 album Fear. She also appears on Cale's 1987 live album Even Cowgirls Get the Blues. Since 2007 Nylon has worked periodically with the artist collective Aether9.
