This vintage tee commemorates the AAU Junior Olympics National Championship from sometime in the 1970s. The tee features the Amateur Athletic Union's logo as well as the logo for Sears department store, which was most likely a sponsor for the event. The AAU was founded over 100 years ago with the goal of making sports accessible for children of all backgrounds. The first Junior Olympic games were held in Ohio in the late 40s, and since then the games have happened annually all over the country. Some Junior Olympic events include diving, cheerleading, baton twirling, karate, roller derby, and bowling.
Tag says XL but fits like a modern unisex adult large.
