This vintage distressed tee is from the Philadelphia Folk Festival and features a graphic of a banjo. The annual music festival is held at Old Pool Farm in Upper Salford, Pennsylvania and it has been going since the early 60s. The festival lasts four days and is run entirely by volunteers and sponsored by a local non-profit organization, the Philadelphia Folksong Society. The Folk Festival is one of their largest events and it is the oldest continuously running festival of its kind. It was founded by radio personality Gene Shay and American folklorist Kenneth S. Goldstein. With over 35,000 annual attendees and over 75 hours of music on 8 different stages, the event hosts a number of contemporary and traditional artists who perform Celtic, folk, folk rock, and country music.
Fits like a modern unisex adult large. This shirt is distressed. It is very thin and worn around the collar and shoulders and has holes in the shoulders and near the bottom, see pics.
