This vintage tee promotes John Brent for mayor of San Francisco, and the shirt includes the very broad and presumptuous campaign promise of "anything you want". Brent was one of several nonpartisan candidates to enter the 1971 mayoral election in San Francisco, and he did so as a joke, although he still managed to gain a small fraction of votes. Brent was a member of the local improvisational comedy group, The Committee, who partook in satirical political comedy up until their disbandment the following year. This shirt includes a promotional cartoon of Brent that was created by the underground comix artist Dan O'Neil, who is best remembered for his comic strip Odd Bodkins.
Fits like a modern unisex adult Extra Large. The print is off center, and there is a spot on the back and holes on the left shoulder when wearing, see pics.
