This awesome ringer tee is from the 1984 Diet Pepsi 10K National Championships in New York City. During the 80s, Diet Pepsi hosted dozens of 10K races all over the country. Many in the running community consider this one of the first big race series and it was heavily advertised in Runners World magazine. The series culminated in a national championship held in New York City on the first Sunday in July. This huge race had a ton of sponsors, including Z100 WHTZ, a local radio station, and A&P, a local grocery store chain.
