This awesome shirt is for the band Guns N' Roses, and it celebrates their debut album, Appetite for Destruction, with sweet double-sided graphics that include a portrait of the band and the words, "Welcome to the Jungle". "Welcome to the Jungle" was the second single released off the 1987 album. It became a top ten hit in the US, and has been ranked as one of the greatest hard rock songs of all time. However that wasn't the only hit to be featured on Appetite for Destruction. The singles "Paradise City" and "Sweet Child o' Mine" also received significant airplay, and have since become two of the band's best-known songs.
While Appetite for Destruction did eventually launch Guns N' Roses to stardom, the album wasn't an immediate success. It took about a year for the music video for "Welcome to the Jungle" to bring significant attention to the band. Geffen Records had struggled to sell the video to MTV, but the network eventually agreed to air it one time in the early hours of a Sunday morning. Despite this unfavorable time slot, audiences were immediately enthralled and it soon became MTV's most requested video. Since then, Appetite for Destruction has grown to become the best-selling debut album in the US.
Tag says extra large but fits like a modern unisex adult medium. This shirt is deadstock, unworn.
