This sweet band tee is for the English glam rock group, T. Rex. Born out of London, the band originated as a psychedelic folk group named Tyrannosaurus Rex, but the name was shortened once they started to explore a more electric sound. During the early 70s they became pioneers of the emerging glam rock genre and scored several popular hits, that included "Hot Love", "Get It On", and "Metal Guru".

This shirt features a portrait of the group's late frontman, Marc Bolan, whose unfortunate death led to the group's disbandment. Bolan had been the band's sole consistent member, and without his leadership the group quickly dissolved. This shirt features a famous portrait of the musician, which appeared in a 1972 issue of Rolling Stone. The issues was published while the group was recording their album The Slider.
