This awesome vintage band tee is for the Philadelphia based punk band The Dead Milkmen, who emerged on the hardcore scene in the early 80s and set themselves apart with their humorous lyrics and thick Philadelphian accents. The band's debut album Big Lizard in My Backyard gained attention from college radio stations, particularly with the song "Bitchin' Camaro", and with the help of extensive touring, they quickly grew an underground following. The band released their second album Eat Your Paisley in 1986, and it featured their first proper single and music video, "The Thing That Only Eats Hippies".

In 1988 the Dead Milkmen issued Beelzebubba, which managed to make it to the number 101 spot on the Billboard chart. The record contained what is easily the group's most famous song "Punk Rock Girl" which made reference to the famous Philadelphia punk store Zipperhead, which used to reside on South Street. They also released a Smokin' Banana Peels EP and music video to go along with the album, and other songs featured on Beelzebubba included "Stuart", "Bleach Boys" and "My Many Smells".

The early 90s saw the group signed with Hollywood Records, which was owned by the Walt Disney Company. They released two albums with the label, Soul Rotation and Not Richard, But Dick, but they failed to produce any stand out hits. They later broke up in 1994, and they wouldn't reunite until four years later.
