This cool radio t-shirt is for WKRS or 1220 AM, which broadcasts out of Waukegan, Illinois. The station was first started in 1949 and it was owned by The News-Sun Broadcasting Company. The station changed hands several times over the years but from 1949 to 2012 it functioned as a local news station broadcasting information for the Lake County Region. In 2012 it was announced that the station would switch to a Spanish-language sports format with programming provided by ESPN Deprtes Radio.
