This vintage t-shirt commemorates the Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic, which is the largest multi-day bicycle event held in the Northwest United States. Participants ride between the two cities on a route through the scenic forests and farmlands of Washington and Oregon. This shirt is from the 1980 iteration of the event which was actually canceled due to the eruption of Mount St. Helens in Skamania County, Washington. The volcanic eruption that occurred on May 18th at Mount St. Helens is considered to be the most destructive in US history, and the resulting damage meant that this annual biking event had to be canceled.
Fits like a modern unisex adult small. There is a repair on the front, see pics.
