This t-shirt is from the Talking Heads' 1983 studio album, Speaking in Tongues. The Talking Heads were an American new wave band formed in 1975. The band's original lineup featured David Byrne, Chris Frantz, Tina Weymouth, and Jerry Harrison. The Speaking in Tongues album was recorded at Blank Tape Studios in New York City and released by Sire Records. The album featured the hit singles "Burning Down the House" and "This Must Be the Place". The album reached number 15 on the Billboard 200, which made it the group's highest-charting album. The single "Burning Down the House" was the band's first commercial breakthrough and peaked at number 9 on the U.S. charts. The album also crossed over to the dance charts where it peaked at number two. The tour for the album was documented in the film Stop Making Sense by Jonathan Demme and the live album of the same name. The sleeveless shirt features a graphic of the band members across the front and the band's name and album title are printed across the back.
