This sweet vintage sweatshirt endorses Archie Bunker for President. Archie Bunker was the main character of the popular 1970s sitcom All in the Family. Portrayed by Carroll O'Connor, Archie was the blue-collar, curmudgeonly, conservative patriarch of the Bunker family, which consisted of his wife Edith played by Jean Stapleton, daughter Gloria portrayed by Sally Struthers, and son-in-law Michael played by Rob Reiner.

The character was often described as a "lovable bigot" thanks to his distaste towards most marginalized groups. However, Archie was portrayed as being a product of his environment and upbringing, rather than a purposefully malicious individual. Show creator Norman Lear actually intended for the character to be a parody of right-wing conservatives, and he was surprised by how strongly Archie resonated with middle-American viewers. The term "the Archie Bunker Vote" wound up being used to describe the voting bloc of white working class men who identified with Bunker. This then lead to a parody campaign during the 1972 presidential election that advocated for Bunker for President, and the fake campaign inspired memorabilia like buttons, stickers, and shirts such as this one.

Fits like a modern unisex adult medium. This sweatshirt is short, please double check length measurement.
