This cool vintage tee features the poster art for the 1957 drama film The Delinquents. The movie was directed, written, and produced by Robert Altman, who went on to become a five-time Academy Award nominee and directed the films M*A*S*H*, The Long Goodbye, and Nashville. The Delinquents served as Altman's directorial debut, and it was filmed in his hometown of Kansas City, Missouri on a budget of only $63,000. This was also the first movie to star Tom Laughlin, who later became known for his series of Billy Jack films.
This shirt includes the movie's tag line "The hoods of tomorrow! The gun-molls of the future!" and the story centered around the exploits of a juvenile gang. The screenplay for the film was written in less than seven days, and the movie introduced Altman as a formidable film making force. In fact Alfred Hitchcock was so impressed when he saw the movie, he invited Altman to direct several episodes of his show Alfred Hitchcock Presents.
Fits like a modern unisex adult small. There is slight discoloration in the underarms and flaws on the front of the fabric, see pics.
