This awesome vintage women's tee was made back in the 70s to pay tribute to Varoomshka, a quarter-page comic strip drawn by John Kent. Varoomshka was a satirical British strip designed to poke fun at the British politicians of the late 60s and 70s. It did so through exploits of the title character, a buxom and often scantily clad young woman. The strip was published in The Guardian, a newspaper usually associated with liberals and the politically left, although some more conservative staff members did unsuccessfully petition to try and get the strip banned from the publication.

The comic ran up until 1979, although Kent continued to make similar work in the 80s and 90s. Echoes of Varoomshka were found in his strip Zelda for the Sunday Times and La Bimba for The Times.

Fits like a modern adult women's medium
