This awesome double-sided sweatshirt was made in honor of the 1980 Olympic Winter Games at Lake Placid in New York. This sweatshirt was made by the athletic apparel company Adidas, who were one of the many businesses to sponsor the XIII Olympic Winter Games.
This edition of the games is often remembered for what has since been dubbed the "Miracle on Ice". This refers to the men's ice hockey tournament, during which the United States team won the gold against the heavily favored Soviet Union team. The notoriety of this victory was boosted by the rising tensions caused by the Cold War. After the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan during the winter of 1979, many Americans were eager to see the Soviet hockey team defeated at the Olympics.
Fits like a modern unisex adult extra large. There are some spots on the front and discoloration on the left sleeve when wearing, see pics.
