This cool vintage ringer is a souvenir from the famous Alcatraz Penitentiary which was located on Alcatraz Island, off the coast of San Francisco. Nicknamed "the rock", this notorious maximum security prison held some of history's most iconic criminals such as Al Capone, Harvey Bailey, Robert Stroud "The Birdman of Alcatraz",  and Machine Gun Kelly. The dangerous reputations of the criminals and reports of inhumane conditions gave Alcatraz its reputation as the most fearsome prison in the United States. It was closed in the 1960s and converted into a museum.
