This awesome vintage t-shirt is for the Southern California Blues Society and features an image of  rhythm and blues vocalist Koko Taylor. The Southern California Blues Society is a non-profit organization which was founded in 1982 with a mission to promote and preserve blues music in the Southern California area. They are known for holding the annual Topanga Blues Festival.

Koko Taylor is known for her powerful voice which has earned her the nickname "The Queen of the Blues". She began her career singing in Chicago blues clubs in the late 1950s. This lead to her first single on the USA Records and her single "Wang Dang Doodle" which was written by Willie Dixon. In 1975 she reached a wider audience by signing a recording contract with Alligator Records. With their help she recorded nine albums, eight of which were nominated for Grammy Awards.
