This awesome vintage concert tee is for popular heavy metal band, Metallica for their 1987 Damage Inc. Tour. The tour was to promote the band's third studio album, Master of Puppets. Released by Sweet Silence Studios in March of 1986 the album peaked at number 29 on the Billboard 200 chart and managed to stay on the chart for 72 weeks.

After its release, Metallic toured with Ozzy Osbourne from March to August of 1986, headlining several dates between May and June. They then continued touring throughout the fall and winter of '86 with the support of Anthrax and Metal Church. Tragedy struck when bassist, Cliff Burton was killed in a tour bus accident in Sweden on September 27, 1986. The band debated how to proceed, ultimately deciding that Burton would want them to continue their legacy. They began auditioning replacement members and Jason Newsted of Flotsam and Jetsam joined them for the remainder of the tour in 1987. The back of this shirt features an image of this new line up of Jaymz, Jasun, Larz, and Krk.

To date Metallica has released ten studio albums, four live albums, and one cover album. They are the recipients of nine Grammy awards and have been ranked number 61 on Rolling Stone's list of 100 Greatest Artists of All Time. Along with Megadeth, Anthrax and Slayer, they are considered one of the "big four" founding bands of thrash metal.

The tag says Extra Large but this shirt fits like a modern unisex adult Large. There is a repair on the side, see pics.
