This cool double-sided tee promotes the Pep Boys, an automotive service chain that was founded in West Philadelphia. The company was started all the way back in the 20s, by four friends: Emanuel Rosenfeld, Maurice Strauss, W. Graham Jackson, and Moe Radavitz. Their initial business was known as Pep Auto Supply, before the name was gradually changed to Pep Boys. While Radavitz eventually cashed out and left the business, the remaining three founders became the basis for the company's signature caricature mascots, Manny, Moe & Jack. Eventually Jackson left as well, and his likeness was replaced by that of Strauss' brother, however the name Jack remained unchanged.

This shirt was made in the 80s, a decade full of rapid growth for the company. The first Pep Boys "supercenter" was introduced and their store count grew to more than 7,000 locations across the country. By that point, they were raking in more than $2 billion in annual sales, and by the time the 90s rolled around they were able to extend their business to Puerto Rico.

Fits like a modern unisex adult large. This shirt is soft with some light spots and several holes, see pics.
