This 80s vintage ringer comes from Alcatraz Island, off the coast of San Francisco, California. Alcatraz, known as "the rock," was the site of a notorious prison, which has seen the likes of Al Capone, Robert Stroud, "The Birdman of Alcatraz", Machine Gun Kelly and many others.
Closed in 1963, the prison has become a popular tourist attraction, and a whole line of merchandise has been designed to capitalize on the infamous prison. This shirt says "Property of Alcatraz" with a number on the bottom, meant to resemble those worn by inmates.
