This 80s vintage union tee comes from the United Teachers Alliance of Los Angeles, created in 1970 as a merger of the different organizations representing teachers and support service workers throughout the L.A. Unified School District. The UTLA was successful in getting the Rodda Act signed by the then-Governor in 1975, allowing strikes over contract issues.
