This vintage band tee is for the English progressive rock band Yes and their second live album titled Yesshows. The album was released by Atlantic Records in November of 1980, and it was the last album released before the group disbanded. It was their first live album to be released since Yessongs in 1973, and it featured recordings of songs from their 1976, 1977, and 1978 tours across North America and Europe.
Seven songs from five different concerts were compiled together. They included "Gates of Delirium" and "Ritual" recorded at Cobo Hall in Detroit in 1976 and "Time and a Word" and "Don't Kill the Whale" recorded at Wembley Arena in London during the Tomato Tour.
Yes was formed in 1968 by Jon Anderson, Chris Squire, Peter Banks, Tony Kaye, and Bill Bruford. Some of their most successful albums include The Yes Album, Close to the Edge, and Fragile, which featured their defining hit "Roundabout". As the band's popularity rose they became known for their impressive tour acts that included elaborate stage sets and light displays. They were also known for their album covers designed by artist Roger Dean.
