This sweet vintage t-shirt pays homage to the Chicago Police Department, more specifically the homicide division and it features the famous dark yet tongue-in-cheek slogan of most homicide departments, "Our day starts when yours ends". The city of Chicago, Illinois actually has the second largest municipal police department in the US, right after New York City. Not only that but it is also one of the oldest modern police forces in  the world, with a history that dates all the way back to 1835. This shirt was made in the 90s, when the CPD appointed their first Hispanic superintendent, Matt L. Rodriguez. The CPD also employed a rather famous face during the 90s, talk show host Steve Wilkos worked for the Chicago Police before earning his gig on Jerry Springer.
