This amazing vintage band tee is for the German heavy metal band Rammstein for their second studio album Sehnsucht, which is German for desire. The album was released on 1997 and it is the only album recorded entirely in German to be certified platinum by the RIAA in the United States. The album included the singles "Du Hast" and "Engel". This shirt showcases the album artwork which included a booklet that unfolded to reveal six different covers, one depicting each member of the band. The cover art was designed by Austrian artist Gottfried Helnwein who also designed the cover the Scorpions' album Blackout.
Rammstein has been described as a German Neue Deutshe Harte band which is also known as Tanzmetall or dance-metal. The band was formed in Berlin in 1994 and members include Till Lindermann, Richard Kruspe, Paul Landers, Oliver Riedel, Christopher Schneider, and Christian Lorenz with no lineup changes in the band's history. The band participated in a contest for amateur bands in 1994. The winner would get the chance to use a professional recording studio for a full week. Rammstein entered and won the contest allowing them to record demos and send them to different labels. The band was eventually signed by Motor Music and they released their debut album Herzeleid in 1995.
