This awesome tee from the 80s features the album cover for Melissa Etheridge's self-titled debut album, released in 1988. The album was an underground success, featuring songs, "Chrome Plated Heart," "Like the Way I Do," "Precious Pain," "Occasionally," and "Bring Me Some Water," which was nominated for a Grammy Award.
Etheridge was performing at a dive bar in Pasadena, California when she was first discovered by the wife of music manager Bill Leopold. By '93, her breakthrough album "Yes I Am," was released, with hit songs, "Come to My Window," and "I'm the Only One." Etheridge garnered attention surrounding her sexuality, coming out publicly the same year as her breakthrough album.
