This shirt is for Fermilab Physics Laboratory. The facility is located outside Batavia, Illinois not far from Chicago. Fermi belongs to the United States Department of Energy, and it specialized in high-energy particle physics. 

Fermilab is home to the Tevatron, built in 1983. The circular particle accelerator is the second-highest energy particle collider in the world, hence the nickname "supercollider." The  Large Hadron Collider near Geneva, Switzerland holds the title for the highest collider.
