This awesome tee features a double sided graphic from Poly Tees of a surfer catching a wave and the words "Surf Team Hawaii." Hawaii has a rich cultural history of surfing dating back hundreds of years to when the islands first became populated by migratory Polynesian communities. Surfing was discouraged by colonizers but the practice was revived in the early 1900s on Waikiki Beach on Oahu by Duke Kahanamoku. He encouraged Hawaiians to surf again and became known as the "father of modern surfing" for his role in popularizing the sport world wide. A statue of the Duke stands over Waikiki Beach which is still considered one of the best surf spots in all of Hawaii.

The North Shore of Oahu is known for its winter time big wave surfing. It's definitely not a beach for beginners, but advanced surfers flock to these shores and many surfing enthusiasts just come to watch. Beginners are better suited to the south shores of Oahu or the island of Maui which has several beginner friendly beaches. The North Shore hosts one of the biggest surfing competitions in the world, the Vans Triple Crown of Surfing, every winter.

Fits like a modern unisex adult small.
