This epic concert tee comes from Metallica's 1991 Wherever I May Roam tour. It's aged beautifully after all this time, truly capturing that old school magic with big eye-catching graphics, lovely cotton feel, and double sided print. So comfy and just dazzling to look at.
The unforgettable Where I May Roam tour promoted the band's fifth album The Black Album AKA Metallica (1991), and was actually named after one of the tracks on the album. Some may recognize the old man on this shirt from the award-winning music video to their track "Enter Sandman". The back pays homage to lyric from the song, "Off to never never land".
In fact, The Black Album had a visually stunning music video for nearly every song. MTV awarded "Enter Sandman" with "Best Rock Video" in 1992. Publications from all fronts- the heavy metal world and mainstream- spoke highly of the album. The New York Times, NME, and The Village Voice all approved. This record ended up being Metallica's best selling album and it spent four consecutive weeks at the top of the Billboard 200.
Metallica's legacy lives on in the hearts of fans and critics alike and people are always paying homage through memorabilia and collectibles just like this tee.
