This awesome jersey style concert tee is for the Rolling Stones from their 1981 American Tour. The tour wound up being the groups biggest, longest, and most elaborate production to that point. It was also the highest grossing tour of 1981. The tour helped to promote the band's recently released album Tattoo You, which included the Top Ten hit "Start Me Up" as well as the singles "Waiting on a Friend" and "Hang Fire".
The tour included a colorful set created by Japanese designer Kazuhide Yamazaki. It featured enormous images of a guitar, car, and record. Later shows also featured a cherry picker that would release hundred of balloons at the show's end. Opening acts included George Thorogood and the J. Geils Band. Prince also served as an opening act, but the young singer was barely known at the time and actually ended up getting booed off the stage. A live concert film of the tour was released in 1983. It was titled Let's Spend the Night Together and directed by Hal Ashby.
Fits like a modern unisex adult medium. There is some discoloration on the collar, see pics.
