This vintage cowichan sweater was hand-knitted back in the 70s. During the that time cowichan sweaters, that were modeled after the hand-knit creations of the Cowichan people of Vancouver Island, were trending worldwide. Yarn supply stores began selling patterns so that people could knit their own cowichan style sweaters at home. This sweater uses a naturally colored off-white wool which is common in cowichan patterns. It also uses a brightly colored green wool to create a fun zig zag design. The sweater has a shawl neck and two hand pockets. It also has a front zipper closure.
