This amazing sleeveless sweatshirt is for the rock band Kiss and their twelfth studio album Animalize. The back of the shirt reads, "If it's too loud you're too old." The album was released in 1984 after the band's "unmasking". Kiss rose to fame not just for their hard rock music but also for the insane pyrotechnic laced live shows and their comic book character inspired stage personas. The most famous line up of the band featured Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Peter Criss, and Ace Frehley dressed in all of their insane black and white makeup glory. Animalize however came after they decided to retire these personas for some time and the album featured Stanley and Simmons, along with Eric Carr on the drums and Mark St. John on lead guitar.
The album managed to go certified platinum and was the best-selling Kiss album since Dynasty in 1979. The biggest hit that resulted from the album was "Heaven's on Fire" which received heavy rotation on MTV and was the only music video to feature St. John. During the time of the release, Simmons was in conflict with his band mates who felt his priorities were elsewhere. Simmons was attmepting to start an acting career with a bit part in the supernatural horror movie Trick or Treat and a co-starring role in the science fiction action thriller Runaway. He was also managing bands like Black 'n Blue at the time.
