This vintage sweatshirt features a logo for the 1996 Summer Olympics which were held in Atlanta, Georgia. This iteration of the games also marked the centennial of the 1896 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens, Greece and were the inaugural edition of the modern Olympic Games. The games included several new sports such as beach volleyball, mountain biking, and softball. The United States ended up topping the medal table with 101 medals overall. They also took the most gold with 44. Notable achievements included Donovan Bailey setting a new world record during the men's 100 metres and the "Magnificent Seven" winning the first ever US gold medal in Women's artistic gymnastics team all -around.
