This sweet sweatshirt celebrates the winners of the 1991 Rose bowl in Pasadena, California: the Washington Huskies of the University of Washington. This was the first year that Washington managed to win their conference championship since the 1981 season. Now almost a decade later, the Huskies were facing the same opponents as their last trip to the Rose Bowl, the Iowa Hawkeyes. Together the two teams scored a record breaking 80 points combined, but the Huskies came out on top with a final score of 46 to 34. This bowl victory wound up launching the team to the number five spot in both the Coaches and the AP poll. Five members of the team were also selected for the NFL draft that year, including Greg Lewis and Charles Mincy.
