This sweatshirt features a large print in honor of the beloved magicians' Siegfried & Roy and their residency at the Mirage in Las Vegas, Nevada. The graphic features two, beautifully detailed white tigers for which Siegfried & Roy were known. The duo met while working on a cruise ship in the 50s and Roy became Siegfried's assistant when the latter got his start as a magician. It is believed that the two were romantically partnered for a time but they were purposefully vague about their private lives.
It was Roy's idea to incorporate big cats into their shows, since he had grown up working at the Bremen Zoo in his native country of Germany. In the 60s, the duo was invited to Vegas by a producer who saw their show in Paris. They performed several shows in the city before opening their show at the Mirage in 1990. Siegfried & Roy performed at the Mirage for 13 years until Roy was seriously injured by a white tiger, named Mantacore, on October 3, 2003 which also happened to be Roy's birthday. After the show closed, Siegfried & Roy continued to work on projects together until their deaths in the early 2020s.
Fits like a modern unisex adult extra large.
