This sweet, vintage tee celebrates the 1986 World Expo in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The theme of this year's expo was, "Transportation and Communication: World in Motion-World in Touch" and its mascot was Expo Ernie, an endearing astronaut wearing over sized sneakers and an Expo 86 t-shirt. The Expo was opened by the Prince and Princess of Wales, Charles and Diana and it ran from May-October. 54 nations were represented and several more corporations, such as Air Canada and General Motors, had pavilions. Other exhibits included the Great Hall of Ramses II, which displayed treasures from the Pharaoh's tomb, and the Expo Centre, later renamed Science World, that is pictured in the graphic of this t-shirt. Several concerts took place during Expo 86 including performances by Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Beach Boys, Smokey Robinson, Depeche Mode, and Miles Davis.
Fits like a modern unisex adult small.
