This cool t-shirt commemorates the Run LA 10k at the famous Los Angeles Coliseum in 1983. This race was hosted by the LA Athletic Club and it was a part of the events leading up to the Los Angeles 1984 Olympic Games. Host cities often have events to get their citizens excited about the upcoming games, which was most likely what this race was. The LA Memorial Coliseum first opened in 1921 as a memorial to World War I veterans and it played a prominent role in the 1932 and 1984 games. In 2028, the Coliseum will become the first venue to be used in three Olympiad.
