This awesome shirt includes the stunning artwork of the Dutch graphic artist M.C. Escher. Escher became known for his drawings, lithographs, woodcuts, and mezzotints which depicted impossible objects that explored things like reflection, symmetry, perspective, geometry, and tessellations. The artist was particularly interested in mathematical structures, and although he didn't have any formal training in mathematics, Escher had an intuitive understanding of the subject.

His drawings eventually became quite popular among scientists and mathematicians, especially after his work was featured in a 1966 issue of Scientific American. One of Escher's most recognizable works, is a lithograph titled Relativity, that depicts what's known as the Penrose stairs or impossible staircase. The print can often be seen being parodied in popular culture.
