This vintage band tee pays tribute to Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead. It's a 1990s original loaded with awesome graphics, trippy tie-dye, and a nice oversized fit. Very comfy, eye-catching, and has a ton of life left.

The lyrics showcased on the back graphic, "May the four winds blow you safely home", comes from their 1975 track "Franklin's Tower" off the album Blues for Allah. This album marked the end of Grateful Dead's year long hiatus and took on a few unique feats. One includes its place of recording- unlike their previous studio albums, Blues for Allah was completely recorded inside their guitarist Bob Weir's home in Mill Valley, California.

Another change they made in creating this album was writing songs from scratch, rather than building off material they developed on stage. In short, this album was largely experimental and took on sounds which were out of the norm for the Grateful Dead. Memorable tracks on Blues for Allah include "Slipknot!", "Franklin's Tower", and "Crazy Fingers". Rolling Stone magazine, Gramophone, and Village Voice critics described these experimental sounds as jazz-rock, semi-country, and reminiscent of the band Yes or the Strawbs.

Not only were The Grateful Dead key players in the counterculture movement of the 60s, they have truly established themselves as rock n roll icons. Founding members of Grateful Dead are Jerry Garcia, Bob Weir, Ron "Pigpen" McKernan, Phil Lesh, and Bill Kreutzmann. The band's legacy carries a lot of weight thanks to everlasting contributions to rock music, dedicated fans known as Deadheads, and awesome collectibles and memorabilia like this vintage t-shirt.

Fits like a modern unisex adult medium. Oversized, baggy fit. Several holes, see pics. Tie-dye, double sided print.
