80s NWT US Olympic Games 1980 Winter Knit Ski Bobble Hat
Tag Brand: Knit Headwear
This vintage beanie has been completely unworn since the 1980, still new with tags. It was custom made for the 1980 Olympic Winter Games in Lake Placid, New York. Features a classic bobble top, classic blue and white color scheme, and lovely Orlon acrylic. The graphic spotlights the Olympic mascot, Roni the raccoon. Very comfy and nice to look at.
The Lake Placid Olympics made history for the Miracle on Ice, wherein the underdog United States men's ice hockey team defeated the Soviet team to win gold. The Soviets had entered the 1980 games with four consecutive gold medals, previously considered to be unbeatable.
