This unique vintage tee features double-sided graphics advertising a "Vampyre for Hyre" and The $55 Haircut "for a whole lot less". The $55 Haircut was created by celebrity hairstylist Jim Markham, who worked with some of the biggest names in Hollywood in the 1970s, including Frank Sinatra, Johnny Carson, Steve McQueen, and Paul Newman, who hired Markham as his onset stylist for every one of his movies into the early 80s. Markham was also famous for being the protégé of Jay Sebring, who was the ex-boyfriend of Sharon Tate and fellow victim of the Manson Family Murders.

Vampyre for Hyre meanwhile is the title of a little known late night horror character, who once appeared on the KTSF Channel 26 program, Saturday Night Dead. The show aired during the late 70s into the early 80s, and it broadcast public domain movies like The Devil Bat, Night of the Living Dead, and Alice Sweet Alice to the San Francisco area. The show was hosted by Dr. Tom B Stone, who was portrayed by Steven R. Smith, while Vampyre for Hyre was credited as a ghoulish guest portrayed by someone named Kooki Davis.

It's unclear what the relationship between Davis and Markham may have been exactly, but the daytime business numbers for both advertisements match, suggesting there was definitely a connection between the two showbiz personalities.

The tags says medium but this shirt fits like a modern unisex adult small.
