This sweet shirt is for the funk band War and celebrates their greatest hits with a cool glitter iron on graphic. The back of the shirt features a list of some of the band's most beloved songs which include "The Cisco Kid", "Slippin Into Darkness", "Why Can't We Be Friends?", "The World Is a Ghetto", "Me And Baby Brother", "Low Rider", "Gypsy Man", "Southern Part of Texas", and "Summer".
Formed in the late 60s, War transcended racial barriers with its multi-ethnic lineup. Their music fused a number of genres including jazz, rock, funk, and R&B, and their album The World is a Ghetto managed to be Billboard's best selling album of 1973. They toured extensively through the 70s and their 1970 show at the Ronnie Scott's Club is famous for being the last live performance of Jimi Hendrix, who joined the band onstage for the last half hour of their set. They released their greatest hits album in 1976, which was the same year as the release of their album Love is All Around. War has continued to play into the 2000s, but a series of lineup changes has left Leroy "Lonnie" Jordan the only remaining original member.
The tag says Large but this shirt fits like a modern unisex adult Medium.
