This great tee is from a 30 mile relay that took pace in Hawaii in 1984! This relay was hosted by the Athlete's Foot and sponsored by Nike. The Athlete's Foot was the first athletic footwear specialty store in the United States, opening in 1971. That was the same year that Nike chose to rebrand themselves and introduce their now iconic swoosh logo. Nike would eventually surpass the Athele's Foot in popularity to become the largest athletic apparel manufacturer in the world, but this tee predates the company's skyrocket to success.
