This amazing vintage rap tee is for the famous American rapper and movie star Christopher Bridges, known to the world as Ludacris. This awesome shirt is from early in the rapper's career and features the name of one of his early songs on the front "Throw Dem Bows". Meanwhile the back of the shirt showcases the logo for Ludacris' independent record label Disturbing the Peace, which later became a subsidiary of Def Jam South Recordings.
Ludacris spent the majority of his childhood growing up in Atlanta, Georgia and he chose to create Disturbing the Peace in 1998 after he failed to get signed by any major labels. His intention was to use the label to promote other musicians hailing from the "Dirty South". He used the label to launch his debut album Incognegro, and he managed to sell over 50,000 copies of the record just out of the trunk of his car. Ludacris' hard work paid off, as he was quickly signed to Def Jam's new subsidiary, Def Jam South, which would go on to represent artists like Big Boi, DJ Khaled, and Young Jeezy. Def Jam reissued Incognegro under the new title Back for the First Time, and the album served as Ludacris' major label debut. Back For the First Time included the hit singles "What's Your Fantasy" and "Southern Hospitality", the latter of which hadn't been featured on Incognegro.
Ludacris' success continued from there. His next record, Word of Mouf made it to the top of the Billboard R&B/Hip Hop Albums chart, and it peaked at number three on the Billboard 200. He's been featured on tracks from other notable hip hop artists like Missy Elliot, Usher, Ciara, Lil Jon, Mary J. Blige, and Snoop Dogg. He's also had a successful acting career, particularly in the role of Tej Parker in the Fast and Furious franchise.
