This awesome vintage tee is for the seminal rock band the New York Dolls, one of the earliest groups to emerge out of the burgeoning punk scene in the 1970s. Along with groups like the Velvet Underground and the Stooges, the New York Dolls helped to shape the American music scene, as focus shifted away from the glam rock sound and more towards the early stages of what would come to be known as punk.

Although the band never achieved much mainstream success, their albums New York Dolls and Too Much Too Soon, have both gone down in history as some of rock's most beloved cult classic records. The band also became known for their eccentric, boundary-pushing fashion as much as their music. During a time when perceived cross dressing was still quite taboo, the New York Dolls proudly touted an androgynous style that included heels, makeup, spandex, and dresses.

The tag says small but fits like a modern adult women's extra small. The sleeves have been cut and this shirt is soft, thin, and faded, see pics.
