This cool vintage shirt pays tribute to a 1970s science fiction series from Filmation Studios. The shirt promotes, Jason of Star Command, a live action space epic that was inspired by another Filmation series, Space Academy. The show starred Craig Littler, as the titular hero Jason, but this tee focuses on the show's villain, Lord Dragos, who was portrayed by cult icon, Sid Haig. Haig would later come to be well known among horror fans as Captain Spaulding in Rob Zombie's Firefly trilogy.

In the show's first episode, Dragos is introduced via an attack on the Space Academy, during which he kidnaps Commander Canarvin. The commander was also portrayed by an iconic genre actor, James Doohan, who is best remembered for playing Montgomery Scott in the original Star Trek. Jason of Star Command was created by Arthur H. Nadel, who also produced the television series Shazam! about the DC Comics character of the same name.
