This cool shirt offers a celebration of the 80s music scene, with a specific focus on the genre of new wave. The shirt features a sweet illustration that was made by Mike Clelland during the early days of his career. The graphic is copyright Full Moon Productions 1980, and it was made for a small t-shirt shop based out of Michigan. Around that time, a documentary was being filmed in Michigan, which documented the Detroit punk and new wave scene. The documentary wound up being titled "Face the 80s" same as the slogan featured on this tee, although the shirt doesn't appear to be related to the film's release.

Rather this tee, looks to have been made for anyone who has an appreciation for the new wave sound. This lighter, more melodic offshoot of punk music started emerging in the late 70s, and some seminal new wave artists included Blondie, The B-52's, Talking Heads, Duran Duran, The Cars, Devo, New Order, Tears for Fears, and Elvis Costello.

The tag says extra large but this shirt fits like a modern unisex adult large
