This sweet vintage shirt celebrates the 1984 Summer Olympic Games, which were held in Los Angeles. Despite a boycott in retaliation to the American-led 1980 Summer Olympic boycott, the '84 games saw a record-breaking number of nations competing with 140 National Olympic Committees in attendance.

This shirt highlights the men's and women's volleyball tournaments in particular. The competitions were held in the Long Beach Arena, and the USA took home the gold for the men's tournament, while the women's tournament was won by the Chinese team. These teams featured Karch Kiraly, the first athlete to win a medal in both indoor and beach volleyball, and Lang Ping, who would become the future head coach of China's national women's team.
